Lions Rampant Autumn photo shoot

Creating photography for a brand it easy right, just snap away with a camera? Well actually quite a lot goes into a photoshoot to achieve those great images, which is often forgotten.

K4 recently completed the latest photoshoot for Lions Rampant, so.....models, check. Photographer, check. Makeup artist and stylist, check. Shot list, check. Recee the locations, check.
The shoot was a great success and as you can see from the video it was great fun, even if you arrive on location at 8am to start shooting and the client doesnt arrive with the models until 10am...Cheers Rich ;)

New Lions Rampant store a roaring success!


Wednesday Night saw the launch of the first Lions Rampant store in Cranleigh, Surrey. We have been working with Lions Rampant for the last year, creating their new brand, e-commerce websitem, marketing materals and now retail presence. The store was packed on its two hour evening preview and with England rugby stars such as Danny Hipkiss on hand, the fans we not disapointed.

Starke raving mad!

Last Monday saw the launch of a new program called 'Design for life' its a mix of apprentice, meets design. Ok, so the the problem first. Contestants can cause involuntary shouting at the TV, either because they have read a Starke book cover to cover and can recite every word or they are just plain stupid! And now the best part, as expected is Starke. The extrovert, recluse, quite a good description of this Dali of our generation is great on TV, lets just hope he doesn't go all Sugary and start putting his name to all sorts! Au revoir!

Its not often that you can sit at your desk, look out the window and enjoy the sites of Anna Friel and Colin Farrell all afternoon, but today has been a little special!! The latest offering from William Monahan, London Boulevard, set up location outside the K4 studio and as you can imagine, the excitement has been a little to much to bare!

Everyone gets Rampant...

After creating the Lions Rampant brand, last week finally saw the launch of Lions Rampant's new website. The launch on wednesday, followed by a emailer to the existing 5k database and 35k others saw the site visits go off the scale and is was great to see the sales rolling in.

The challenge for this website was to create an entire package for the Lions Rampant team which contained; full shopping facility, behavioral marketing, blog, galleries, invoicing, tracking, personal accounts, newsletter system and whilst all being scalable and updatable by Lions Rampant.....the list is endless. With the foundation set, the site will scale to include videos, message boards and a raft of new products later in the year. So are you ready to get Rampant?

Best in show!

The exhibition stand we produced for Sita at the international event Futuresource went down a storm. No only did it have people flocking to see the new Sita brand, be were also intrigued by the tree, sparrows, fashion catwalk and interactive game. For more click here

Can you save your logo?


Save your logo is a very clever idea, with a very good purpose. The goal is simple get brands that use animals as their brand marks to become ambassadors for that animal. Lacoste is one of the first main stream brands that have signed up to push their 'ECO' credentials for their 75 year old Crocodile logo. So who's next....Penguin? Jaguar? or even Playboy? Answers on a postcard!

Slowly but surely...

Tuesday night saw week 3 of Steve & Simon's Badminton challenge. Yet again Simon was the victor. With last weeks appalling performance of 4-0 to Simon, steve knew he had to step up his game, so with new squeeky trainers he took to the court. This week saw two half hour marathon games, with simon winning 21-19 and 21-17. It was still a loss, but for steve it was a glimmer of hope of eventually winning against the whippet! Roll on next week.

Badminton: Round 2


5:30pm Thursday 17th April 09:
So with brand new rackets firmly tucked under the arm (lets be honest, badminton isn’t the coolest sport to be seen playing!) Steve and Simon left work again for another titanic battle at Kensington Sports Centre. After the 3-0 whitewash of two weeks ago, Steve knew he had something to prove and with his new £19.99 Argos Muscle Power racket in hand, was a comeback on the cards…?

7:00pm Thursday 17th April 09:

Simon 4 – 0 Steve. A brave effort from K4s Creative Director which had Simon ‘the whippet’ Barber worried in parts but overall another resounding victory. With his review next week, Simon may well regret beating the boss!

Go Westway!

Following a 3 way pitch, K4 has been appointed to develop a new positioning statement and marketing campaigns for Westway Sports Centre, one of the UK's leading sport centres. K4 have developed a new positioning statement 'Discover sport' to underpin all of the future activities and establish Westway as the leader in its field with campaigns to follow shortly. We all look forward to working with Westway throughout the next year.

The Challenge begins!


The challenge this year is badminton. Steve and Simon have challenged each other to this fast paced sport for people who are scared of tennis balls. The first game took place on Tuesday with Simon taking advantage of his Whippet like frame and winning 3-0! Steve has disputed something about dodgy lighting, but we will see if next week is a closer match... More next week! :)
