It's Pimm's O'Clock!
Slowly but surely...
Tuesday night saw week 3 of Steve & Simon's Badminton challenge. Yet again Simon was the victor. With last weeks appalling performance of 4-0 to Simon, steve knew he had to step up his game, so with new squeeky trainers he took to the court. This week saw two half hour marathon games, with simon winning 21-19 and 21-17. It was still a loss, but for steve it was a glimmer of hope of eventually winning against the whippet! Roll on next week.
Badminton: Round 2

5:30pm Thursday 17th April 09:
So with brand new rackets firmly tucked under the arm (lets be honest, badminton isn’t the coolest sport to be seen playing!) Steve and Simon left work again for another titanic battle at Kensington Sports Centre. After the 3-0 whitewash of two weeks ago, Steve knew he had something to prove and with his new £19.99 Argos Muscle Power racket in hand, was a comeback on the cards…?
7:00pm Thursday 17th April 09:
Simon 4 – 0 Steve. A brave effort from K4s Creative Director which had Simon ‘the whippet’ Barber worried in parts but overall another resounding victory. With his review next week, Simon may well regret beating the boss!
More than rubbish
Go Westway!
Following a 3 way pitch, K4 has been appointed to develop a new positioning statement and marketing campaigns for Westway Sports Centre, one of the UK's leading sport centres. K4 have developed a new positioning statement 'Discover sport' to underpin all of the future activities and establish Westway as the leader in its field with campaigns to follow shortly. We all look forward to working with Westway throughout the next year.
The Challenge begins!

The challenge this year is badminton. Steve and Simon have challenged each other to this fast paced sport for people who are scared of tennis balls. The first game took place on Tuesday with Simon taking advantage of his Whippet like frame and winning 3-0! Steve has disputed something about dodgy lighting, but we will see if next week is a closer match... More next week! :)

An Inspiration to millions

I'm sure that I'm not the only person who is saddened by the loss of one of the best loved stars of the creative industry - Tony Hart. Single handed he inspired millions of children to be creative and express themselves, he certainly inspired me to be what I am today!
One fond memory is sitting cross legged in front of the TV watching tony at work. He was scribbling with chalk, and I was thinking 'What is it?' It was only when he held a mirror to the final image did it reveal a city scape and its reflection in the sea!
He cant be replaced, but where is the next Tony to inspire a new generation?
Bright moves for 2009
It's simple!
Graceful
Please sir can we have some more!
....due to the credit crunch
Since the 'Credit Crunch' started last year it is a term that is used throughout the media on a daily basis. Only this morning did I hear a story that people we not using phone voting as much on TV, the reporter signs off ....'this is due to the credit crunch'. What's next? 'Skip the dog sadly went missing two weeks ago............due to the credit cunch'
I am a strong believer in positive thinking, but I can understand why people are not spending, because the media wants to promote doom and gloom. So come on lets all think positive and hopefully they will stop ending all reports on ....due to the credit crunch.

A new vibrant retail centre is due to open in (literally) days... this new wonderful 'fashionista land' is just 10mins walk from Holland Park.
"Westfield London" is the long awaited retail development at White City/Shepherds Bush. Designed by internationally acclaimed architects, Michael Gambellini (think New York’s Rockefeller Centre) and London designers Softroom, the site is set to push the boundaries of retail design.
Influenced by nature, water and light, a vast central Atrium (the size of a football pitch AND full of boutiques) has been built from marble, granite and glass and is set to be an area for exhibitions and events... as well as alfresco dining, more shopping, exploring luxury brands, chilling in water-gardens, a bit more shopping and finally indulging in cafe-culture lifestyle. The site is also eco-friendly, with much of the construction material being 50% recycled, plus it has a facility for harvesting rain-water!
We can't wait for the grand opening... roll on 30th October 2008!

Who needs a digital camera!

Stephen Wiltshire, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, memorised the appearance and position of hundreds of London's buildings in exact scale during a helicopter ride along the Thames.
Over the next five days, the 33-year-old drew the seven-square mile panorama, including landmarks such as the Swiss tower, and Canary Wharf, on a 13ft curving canvas. The result, as im sure you would agree is outstanding! www.stephenwiltshire.co.uk
